Bike Lane Abuse: BP Carwash

As a cyclist I am of course all for bike lanes and am never happy when they are being used by automobiles.  I have walked past the BP Carwash (Eastern and Bedford) more times than I can count and inevitably, they are blocking the bike line with cars they are cleaning.  It's super annoying and causes not only cyclists but cars to all adjust. 

Franklin Avenue Gets New Hardware Store

During a quick walk down to the corner store I noticed a new hardware spot on Franklin Avenue just south of Eastern.  Three Brothers Hardware Store is open for business.  It looks quite nice inside and well stocked.  I have no doubt I will be using their services at some point in the near future. 

There is also another store that seems to be a cell phone store that is new two stores down from Three Brothers.  Not too exciting but at least it is new. 

Breaking: Franklin Avenue Lot to be Residential Project

According to Street Easy, the vacant lot at 815 Franklin Ave on Eastern Parkway has been slated as a residential project.  The building will house 63 residential units along with 7,500 sq ft of retail space on street level.  What's do we think?  Good for the nabe or bad?
